Old DBZ facts no longer true because of Super!

There were facts from DBZ which were meant to last forever, but since Dragon Ball Super is now running for more than half a year there are now a few things you can't say anymore...

New Fact #1: Piccolo was killed by Freeza

Well, on Namek Piccolo got hit by a beam right before Kuririn died for the second time. But he survived and got transported to Earth by Porunga.
But now in Super - which is different to the Fukkatsu no F movie - Piccolo got hit by Freeza in order to save Gohan. He died but is expected to be brought back to live with Namekian Dragon Balls.

New Fact #2: Vegeta killed the whole Ginyu Force
As we know from DBZ, Vegeta first killed Guldo, then Recoome and Burter, which were first defeated by Goku. After a Senzu bean and a thereby gotten power-up the Saiyan prince managed to kill Jeice on its own. Ginyu, the only one left accidently changed his body with a frog.
After many years on Earth as a frog, Ginyu managed it to change with Tagomas body - only to be killed by Vegeta.

The future of Dragon Ball

During the last decade Dragon Ball Z has received some extra animated material and the start of the new movie 'Fukkatsu no F' got me thinking: How will the future of Dragon Ball be like?

Dragon Ball Z was a huge success, but Toriyama wanted to stop, needed a break. But it had to continue: Dragon Ball GT came, 64 more episodes were aired and it ended in 1997. So far, so good.

In the early 2000s the anime was broadcasted overseas and the videogames, especially on the PlayStation 2 became very popular and successful. Also, Toriyama made a Dragon Ball parody called 'Neko Majin' by that time.

But then came further animation. The first one set place two years after the defeat of Buu called Yo! The Return of Son-Goku and Friends!! In terms of the story actually quite interesting. Vegetas brother Tarble appeared, two new villians who worked for Freeza appeared on Earth - only to be defeated easily.

From 2009 to 2011 came Dragon Ball Kai, a digitally remastered version of DBZ - but only until the Cell arc.

In 2010 came Dragon Ball Heroes, an arcade game, but only in Japan. Over the years came several new missions - including animated trailers. Later were mangas about these missions published - by someone named Toyotaro.

In 2011 two further specials were released: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans (a remake of an old movie) and Episode of Bardock, based on a manga from Naho Oishi.

And then came 2013 and the Battle of Gods movie and it was a huge success. One year later they continued Dragon Ball Kai with the Buu Arc and already announced another movie for the Golden Week in 2015. Both movies happened during the 10 year gap by the end of Z. The current one is about Friezas revival and seems to be very successful.

What comes next?

As a fan you're now thinking: What will come next? Another movie? It seems interesting that this Toyotaro guy, who drew a preview manga about Fukkatsu no F, is obviously also known under the name Toyble, who published a Dragon Ball AF manga years ago.

He was also involved in the Dragon Ball Heroes mangas. But, here's a thought: In my view his AF story is really interesting and has a potential to be a future TV series. The only weak point is that there are also characters from the DBZ movies (like Broly, Tapion) involved. Its story is also AFTER Dragon Ball GT and tells also where Goku went with Shenron.

Either that, or will they go extent the 10 year gap any further? I'm not so sure, because there are only like four years left and a possible new story should fit with the end of Z.

Or what about an alternate GT story or simply a story which starts during or after Gokus training with Uub. There are a lot of options - let's say what's going to happen....
